Cork's premiere venue for contemporary Jazz, Triskel Arts Centre was founded in 1978. In that time it has built up a reputation for showcasing the best in international and Irish Jazz, and is “the listener's” venue for the annual Cork Jazz Festival. Among those who've played in Triskel in the last year are Tomasz Stanko, Bobo Stenson, Mark Copland, Fred Hersch, and others. Concerts are held at least every forthnight.
Directions: Triskel will be "offsite" at Jury's Cork Hotel for 2009-2010, but will still present a great programmr of the best in Irish and International Jazz Music. check the website for details.
